Colleges Creating Entrepreneurs

At least half of all high school students, college students, and young adults will tell you they have an interest in starting and owning their own business. The good news is that many colleges across the United States now offer incredible opportunities to help students learn how it’s done - like mentoring, seed funding, summer incubators and internships, specialized undergraduate curriculum, dynamic student organizations and so much more!

Have your students check these opportunities out and then explore what entrepreneurship training is available at the colleges their interested in:

1. Babson College (Massachusetts): Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship

2. University of Maryland, College Park: Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship (at the Smith School of Business)

3. University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign: Origin Ventures Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership

4. University of Texas at Austin: Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship

5. University of Utah: Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute

Interests are powerful predictors of decisions aspiring college students make. When we help students match themselves to colleges based on motivators, like interests, we are encouraging them to engage as active learners, explore new opportunities, and help them grow into young adulthood. Interest in Entrepreneurship in one of many factors included in our Career Match.
